Heating oil, blended fuel, and kerosene are delivered in a fuel oil tank truck. The driver will verify the amount of gallons and type of fuel ordered, and if it's an exact amount, they will set it to that number on the meter to ensure they don't over deliver. Depending on the location of your tank - whether it is inside or outside - the driver will pull their hose to the location of the fill pipe.

Once the delivery is completed the driver will pull the hose back to the truck and write the bill to leave behind. The bill will have the information of gallons delivered and total cost of fuel.
